"There is nothing more rewarding than helping my patients. To ease their pain and earn their blessings is what keeps me going"

Ronjita Boral, a nurse, has been working for the past 12 years at SAJIDA’s Keraniganj Hospital. She is one of the many heroes who ensure that everything is in order for the doctors to perform their duty.

Ronjita’s days begin by arriving at the hospital early, she makes sure that everything is organized and prepared before the duty doctors come in. From checking the wards to organizing every essentials that the doctors may need, she makes sure that there are no possible delays for a busy day.

Throughout the day Ronjita is on her toes. If the doctor faces any difficulties, she is there to assist. If they need someone to do a dressing, Ronjita is there. If another nurse struggles with a cannula, Ronjita is there to guides her. If a patient is restless or scared, Rojnita does everything possible to put their mind at ease and comfort them. She also has the responsibility of getting patients admitted, coordinating with the doctors and anesthesiologists to set up operation schedules. In short, she helps to keep the wheels turning for all.

Ronjita joined in December 2010 and became a permanent member of the team a year later. For her, the most rewarding part of her role is the satisfaction that comes from a job well done. Praises and prayers from the patients she serves, help motivate her to do even better. Ronjita is a hero in every sense of the word.
