As climate adversities deepen, they disproportionately impact society’s most vulnerable. Now more than ever, it’s crucial to explore the effects of climate change through the lived experiences of climate-vulnerable communities.
SAJIDA Foundation participated in a dissemination event on "Fragilities and dispossession in the climate-affected borderlands of southwest Bangladesh", organised by the Centre for Peace and Justice, BRAC University, in collaboration with The Asia Foundation, on 23 April 2025.
Nurul Islam Biplob, Lead Researcher, Research and Evaluation, as a panelist during the panel “Climate-fragility risks and role of community mobilisation”, shared grounded reflections on:
- The role of local governments on managing impacts of climate change
- Pathways for Bangladesh’s development researchers and practitioners amidst global disruptions in aid and humanitarian action
- The power of community-led adaptations in driving sustainable, localised climate action
- Critical gaps in our climate response system
SAJIDA Foundation remains committed to advancing community-led solutions for a more climate resilient future.
