In low-income communities, near vision isn’t just about sight; it’s about survival. Whether it’s stitching clothes, managing a shop, reading prescriptions, or tutoring a child, the ability to see up close directly impacts the ability to earn.

Addressing this, SAJIDA Foundation, in partnership with VisionSpring, is scaling up the Reading Glasses for Improved Livelihoods (RGIL) programme to correct presbyopia (near-vision) across Bangladesh over the next two years.

With more than 25,000 people already supported, this next phase will expand access to affordable vision correction—restoring not just sight, but livelihoods and dignity.
