Can temperature shape our state of mind?
Our Heat Mind Study explores how extreme heat impacts the mental well-being of women — particularly those living in low-income communities who are disproportionately affected by social, economic, and environmental stressors.
By listening to the experiences of 500+ women and measuring temperatures in their homes, we’re trying to uncover how rising heat influences mental health.
Recently, Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), SAJIDA Foundation and BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health shared the status of the project and early learnings of the study with the Ambassade de France au Bangladesh - French Embassy in Dhaka. By the end of this year, the findings will provide critical insights, helping us to design informed, inclusive interventions that meet the needs of those most affected.
