Dhaka, July 29th, 2023 – The city witnessed a spectacular event on the 29th of July, as SUDIN Sotta celebrated the unparalleled resilience, progress, and creativity emerging from the urban slum communities. Organized by the SAJIDA Foundation's innovative urban poverty alleviation program, SUDIN, the event successfully showcased a mosaic of artistic expressions through photographs, deeply-rooted personal stories, and the impressively designed clothing of the program participants.

SUDIN has been at the forefront of adopting a tailored "caseworker" approach, leveraging international best practices and over a decade's worth of hands-on experience with urban poverty alleviation. Addressing the myriad challenges faced by the urban extreme poor, the program has achieved significant milestones through its five key intervention streams, ranging from economic inclusion and health & well-being to education and community building.

The event, held on Saturday, commenced with a captivating photo exhibition titled "SUDIN Communities through the eyes of Adolescents," offering attendees a profound insight into the everyday lives and aspirations of the younger generation from these communities. As the day progressed, the Beraid Rishi Para Community Members graced the stage, putting up a mesmerizing fashion show, reflecting their hopes, dreams, and traditions.

One of the standout moments was the inauguration of the "Life, Dream & Reality" Dress Collection. This segment evoked powerful emotions and resonated with the audience, showcasing the boundless creativity and aspirations of the underprivileged.

The evening culminated in an inspiring closing ceremony, providing a moment of reflection and acknowledgment of the undeniable talent and potential that thrive within urban slum populations.
